My Creative Process

After selecting reference photos of the subject I create a rough pencil sketch of the poster. Many of these photos were taken by my friend, and fellow artist, Steve Kozar (www.stevenkozar.com). The photos are then placed into Adobe PhotoShop and pieced together to create a rough collage of the final image. Border designs and fonts are then layered upon this photo collage. Once the overall look and feel is established the composite image is transferred to Adobe Illustrator where the artwork is hand drawn to create the final image that is sent to a printing company. 

Technical Notes 

The posters are offset printed on 100-lb., acid-free, archival cover stock using UV resistant inks. An overall UV, aqueous clear coat is added to further protect the posters from fading. The posters measure 18" x 24" and will fit in a standard size frame.

Custom Framing

The posters shown at the left are professionally matted and framed. The outside dimensions are 27” x 33”. The frames are solid walnut with UV protective glass using 100% acid-free archival materials. Please call or email me if you would like to discuss custom framing of any poster. Posters framed as shown are $185.00.

Many of the local outlets for the posters offer them in standard frames, or can provide custom framing as well.
